Sandra Sukkar, a student at the Faculty of Fine Arts & Architecture (Branch 3) at the Lebanese University, has been crowned World Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Champion at a tournament held in Amsterdam on March 27, 2022.
Passionate about sports since childhood, Sandra said she is proud to raise Lebanon’s flag on the international stage, especially given the country’s current challenges. She added that she chose the Lebanese University for the quality of its degrees and strong reputation in the job market, and thanked her professors for their support and understanding, which enabled her to participate in the championship.
