The Italian and Korean UNIFIL contingents operating in the Western Sector continued their support campaign, “Together Against Corona”, in anticipation of the re-opening of schools.
In this context, they provided materials, equipment and medication for combatting the Corona pandemic to the Lebanese army and institutions in various areas, including the Center for Social Development in Tyre, the Municipalities of Al-Bazouriya and Alma Al-Shaab, and the dispensaries of Deir Qanoun and Majdal Zoun.
Officers and soldiers from the Western Sector handed over donations to school and center directors, who, in turn, thanked UNIFIL for their support, emphasizing the strong friendship ties between them.
