Italian doctor: No point in vaccinating the recovered

Rome – The Ministry of Health in Italy announced today that it recorded 475 deaths due to Coronavirus and 16,310 infected cases, compared to 477 deaths and 16,146 infections last Friday.

Italy has recorded 81,800 deaths from the virus since its appearance last February, the second largest toll in Europe and the sixth in the world. The Ministry of Health said that the country had recorded 2.3 million cases since then.

The Scientific Committee of the Council of Ministers revealed that 80% of the infections occur in restaurants and cafes, 10% are within families, as a person transmits the infection from the outside to his family, and 10% in different places.

“La Stampa” Newspaper wrote this morning that the Rome Metro transports two million people daily, and 18 million Italians are continuing their work in various fields, with no infections reported. The Newspaper added that citizens are aware of the seriousness of the situation and are taking preventive measures.

For his part, Italian Chief Cardiologist, Dr. Francesco Butzar, told the National News Agency that “people who have recovered from Corona should not be vaccinated, i.e. there is no benefit from vaccinating people who have contracted Corona, and there is no data indicating that vaccination is safe and useful for those who were infected with the virus and overcame it.”
