Parliamentary Health Committee Head, MP Assem Araji, on Tuesday pointed in an interview with the “Voice of Lebanon” radio station to some positive indicators regarding the Coronavirus across Lebanon in light of the plummeting number of deaths and infections.
The lawmaker confirmed the acceleration of the pace of the vaccination process during the months of May and June, expecting approximately 900,000 people to be vaccinated, stressing herein the paramount importance of private vaccination to target the biggest number of people.
“There are millions of people who have taken the AstraZeneca vaccine; we abide by the recommendations of the World Health Organization before adopting any vaccine. However, complications from this vaccine are a rare one in a million,” Araji explained.
He finally stressed that no problems had been reported by anyone who received the AstraZeneca vaccine in Lebanon yet.
