Lebanon’s reigning champions take another step towards back-to-back titles at Al Nasr Club.
Beating Al Ahli Tripoli in the Semi-Final
Al Riyadi Beirut booked their place in the final of the 33rd Dubai International Basketball Tournament with an 83–73 victory over Libya’s Al Ahli Tripoli in the first semi-final. The match, held at Al Nasr Club, saw Riyadi control key stretches of the game while holding off Libyan attempts to rally in the second half.
Perfect Record Intact
The win preserved Al Riyadi’s unbeaten record in the tournament, underlining their status as the team to beat heading into the final. Whether attacking in transition or in structured half-court sets, the Beirut side continued to show the offensive balance and defensive discipline that have made them a fixture in regional finals.
Waiting on Strong or Beirut First
With their ticket to the final secured, Al Riyadi awaited the outcome of the second semi-final between Strong of the Philippines and fellow Lebanese side Beirut First Club. Whatever the opponent, the storyline was clear: the Dubai International Tournament would once again conclude with Al Riyadi at the heart of the title conversation.
