Thirty Cars Set for Spring Rally Across Keserwan and Jbeil

The 2024 Lebanese Rally Championship opens with a full grid and a classic mix of mountain tarmac and coastal scenery.

Strong Entry for Season Opener

The Lebanese Automobile and Touring Club (LATC) released the entry list for the Spring Rally, the first round of the 2024 Lebanese Rally Championship, confirming 30 cars on the start line. Run on asphalt roads across Keserwan and Jbeil over May 11 and 12, the rally covers 262.75 kilometres in total, of which 95.86 kilometres are against the clock.

Six Stages, Including a Showcase Run

The route features six special stages: a showcase stage on Saturday designed for fans and television, followed by five demanding competitive stages on Sunday that weave through the hills above the coast. The format offers a balance between spectacle and serious competition, giving crews a chance to settle into their rhythm before tackling the longer Sunday sections.

Veterans, Newcomers, and Women Drivers

The participation list blends veteran drivers and co-drivers with a new wave of talent, reflecting the depth of Lebanese rallying. Notably, the LATC highlighted the presence of three female drivers and three female co-drivers in a prominent competition category—an encouraging sign for representation in what has traditionally been a male-dominated discipline.

With such a diverse field and a challenging route, the Spring Rally is set to be a key marker of form and ambition for the rest of the 2024 season.
