Five male and female athletes representing three Lebanese clubs participated in the Turkish Indoor Athletics Championships at the “Atakoy Arena” in Istanbul for three days.
Lebanese records for indoor futsal racing were recorded as follows:
Aziza Sbeiti, from the Antonine Republic of Baabda, set two national records: a national record in the 200 meters 24.58 seconds, and a national record in the 200 meters as well, after qualifying for the finals by 24.43 seconds and ranked first in the overall standings.
Peter El Khoury also set a national record in the 1500m 3: 55.65 minutes.
On the third day, three new Lebanese records were recorded:
Haya Cyprusli, U-20, in the 400m, with a time of 1: 02.79 minutes.
Greta Teslakian of Inter Lebanon in the 400 meters with a time of 56.77 seconds.
After the tournament, Peter El Khoury set a national record in the 1500 meters race of 3.53.60 minutes.
