Head of the Parliamentary Health Committee, MP Assem Araji, stressed that “the vaccine is a successful and effective treatment against Corona and the only way to reach safety for all of humanity.”
Araji praised “the media platform launched by the Ministry of Information with the aim of educating people about the importance of vaccination to reach community immunity through vaccination operations for about 85 percent of Lebanese and non-Lebanese.”
In an interview with Voice of Lebanon Radio station, the MP stressed that “it would have been better to extend the closure for another week to control the epidemic further,” considering that if the measures taken by the Corona Ministerial Committee were implemented, the infection would decrease.
The lawmaker expressed his concerns about the rapid spread of the British breed and the loss of the three weeks that we benefited from after the holidays.
Finally, he stressed that “there is a kind of laxity in applying the procedures and yesterday’s scene is evidence of that,” considering that if the general closure had been extended for a week, we would have reached a better situation in terms of the number of infections.
