Caretaker Public Health Minister Hamad Hassan visited this afternoon the Marjayoun Governmental Hospital, as part of a tour of the districts of Jezzine, Marjayoun and Bint Jbeil, where he announced the opening of a new section for treating Corona patients at the hospital.
Hassan stressed his Ministry’s determined follow-up on the development of governmental hospitals in various Lebanese regions, in light of the ongoing cooperation between the Ministry’s administration and the boards of directors and committees, keeping pace with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health.
Asked about the COVID-19 vaccine, Hassan pointed out that “all the necessary technical and logistical matters have been secured through a group of donors, and therefore there is no obstacle to starting the vaccination upcoming Monday.”
He also deemed that allocating vaccination centers in various government hospitals reflects trust and support to these hospitals, “for we ought to encourage any hospital for taking the initiative to open a section for Corona patients and volunteer to serve its people.”
