Sports Minister pushes for prioritizing sports missions to receive Coronavirus vaccine

Caretaker Sports and Youth Minister, Vartine Ohanian, on Monday discussed with Caretaker Minister of Health, Dr. Hamad Hassan, an array of  issues of common interest, especially those involving the sports sector in light of the existing health conditions amid the rampant Coronavirus outbreak.

Ohanian announced that she had agreed with the Minister of Health on a set of procedures to be implemented by Lebanese sports missions that represent Lebanon abroad, the first of which is to have them undergo a (PCR) test — at the expense of the Ministry of Health — 48 hours before any travel, and the second is to include participants in these missions within the prioritized category to receive the Covid-19 vaccine.

Ohanian also pointed out that if the ministry approved her request, then it would be referred to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers for a final decision.
